The property was sold through a private treaty for Rs 73 crore after the business tycoon failed to make loan payments. It has since been renamed “King’s Villa.”

The Kingfisher house in Mumbai, which had an initial reserve price of Rs 135 crore, was sold to Hyderabad-based Saturn Realtors for only Rs 52.25 crore.

The deal was completed in the Debt Recovery Tribunal’s ninth attempt, with the realtors paying Rs 2.612 crore in stamp duty.
