Javed Jaffrey House

Javed Jaffrey is a well-known figure in the entertainment industry, having played some of the most memorable characters throughout his career. Jaaved is the son of comedian Jagdeep and works as a comedian, commentator, judge, and host. He has been involved with advertising since the 1980s. The film Meri Jung allowed Jaaved to demonstrate his acting and dancing abilities.

Jaaved demonstrated his sense of humour in a variety of games and talk shows, earning the title of TVdom’s first real superstar. He has hosted the well-known dance competition show Boogie Woogie and provided commentary on the popular Japanese television shows Takeshi’s Castle and Ninja Warrior. Jaaved, who has appeared in films such as Jajantaram Mamantaram, Salaam Namaste, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Dhamaal, Singh Is Kinng, and many others, serves as the brand ambassador for the first Indian International Animation and Cartoon Film Festival.

Javed Jaffrey succumbs to nostalgia as he shows AD around his over 7,000-square-foot flat in Bandra. Jaaved Jaaferi’s Mumbai home is a replica of his childhood memories, filled with the nostalgia of a young boy adjusting to his new surroundings in Bombay. Jaaved’s emotions return to his first home as he transports Architectural Digest to his Bandra sea-facing apartment.

Jaaved Jaaferi had grown up in Bandra and had spent a lot of time there. He later moved to Lokhandwala after his children were born. However, the actor has recently moved to a 7000-square-foot sea-facing home. When Jaaved saw the property, he fell in love with it. It was far from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, in a tranquil setting with a breathtaking view.

Jaaved requested that the designer focus on creating a space with minimal sophistication. The family’s living room is serene, with pastel-colored walls and plush, earth-toned furnishings. The entire house features textured walls with a Mediterranean finish. A well-curated showcase includes a built-in bookshelf with artefacts and a large collection of DVDs.

Jaaved Jaaferi moved to Bandra for his childhood memories as well as for his children, Meezaan and Alaviaa. Talking about the problems with Bandra earlier, Jaaved said

Dining area with onyx slab and fabric lamps.

With the advent of social media and OTT, the new generation prefers to eat in their rooms, leaving the dining area unused. Jaaved’s new home includes a beautifully curated dining area with a sleek onyx slap supported by two wooden logs and upholstered chairs. The space also includes a well-sculpted fabric pendant lamp.

Every detail of the home, designed by Kush Bhayani of KULx Studio, is carefully considered, taking into account the preferences of all members of the family. Every space, from the intricately patterned rugs to the cured wood logs, translucent stones, and handcrafted wooden furniture, exudes rustic elegance while remaining modern.

Well-lit bedrooms

Another important aspect of the house is the effective use of natural light. Jaaved’s son, Meezaan, a popular Bollywood actor, prefers to keep his bedroom simple. On the other hand, the comedian’s daughter, Alaviaa, a popular social media influencer, added a pop of colour to the earthy finish. A bold rust-maroon chair from Bombay Design Lab, a sinuous mirror from Chic Casa, and a camouflage carpet from Loops by LJ added much-needed oomph to her space.

Another intriguing feature of the Arabian sea-facing home is the long terrace, where Jaaved and his children go for long walks and enjoy the city’s soothing atmosphere and calmness. Though Kush Bhayani did an excellent job with Jaaved’s home, it was the actor who immersed himself in the entire design process.

Javed Jaffrey’s sea-facing flat is a touching tribute to his childhood home. Despite his attention to detail, his first home holds some wonderful memories that he will always cherish.
