Freny’s in Bandra is more than just a restaurant; it’s a personal story about Chef Freny Fernandes that is woven into the very fabric of the establishment. This retro diner aesthetic is reflected in every detail, from a brass trumpet-inspired lighting installation to the table mats. Chef Freny intends to personalize the space over time by adding memorabilia, curios from her travels, and other items.

Sumessh Menon Associates created Takumi, a glittering new Asian joint devoid of hard angles and filled with organic curves. The restaurant’s design incorporates a red and grey colour scheme with bamboo elements and stone claddings. The custom-made Japanese torii gate and warrior lady sculpture create a dramatic yet welcoming atmosphere at the entrance. The space is further enhanced by bespoke lighting inspired by Asian motifs, as well as a striking cuboid burgundy wall that wraps guests in a warm embrace, ensuring an authentic Asian dining experience.
